Minnesota State Representative Drew Christensen just followed through on a promise to author a bill banning “The Bachelor” star Arie Luyendyk Jr. from the North Star State.
Why? Well, the politician got more than a thousand retweets on a social media promise to draft it. He claimed this whole thing is all a “civics lesson.” Sure, Drew.
Anyway, here is the original tweet and the bill as promised:
If this gets a thousand retweets I’ll author a bill banning Arie from Minnesota. #TheBachelor #PriorLakeLakers

Christensen also ended up inviting Becca — who was dumped by Arie after an initial proposal on “The Bachelor” season finale — to Minnesota’s State of the State Address.
Twitter feedback matters… 10K—you’re invited, @thebkoof! #TheBachelor #mnleg pic.twitter.com/MdcoEHwEis

Here’s how that came up:
10,000 RTs and I’ll invite Becca to Minnesota’s State of the State Address. #TheBachelor #mnleg #PriorLakeLakers

A representative for Christensen has yet to respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
