As promised earlier by James Cameron, Fox will make his 3D box-office record-setter "Avatar" available on DVD and Blu-ray on Earth Day, April 22.
Both disc releases will be fairly bare bones in terms of bonus features and will not be in 3D. Cameron had said that a 3D Blu-ray version would be available by the fourth quarter of this year, but Fox officials are unsure if it will happen by that time.
"Avatar" has grossed more than $2.6 billion at the global box office.
