Daren DeFrank has been covering film, television and all things entertainment in Los Angeles for nearly a decade. She joined TheWrap in 2025 after seven years at Ranker, where she served as Managing Editor and built out their film and television vertical. She earned her B.A. in Journalism at the University of Rhode Island and has written for The Culture Trip, Blossom and So Yummy. Daren has been obsessed with film since she was a kid after going to the theater once a week with her mom. She still spends tons of time at the movies, this time with her AMC A-List pass and a large popcorn.
