"Casino Jack" has landed a U.S. distributor just ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
ATO Pictures has picked up rights to the George Hickenlooper pic from Rollercoaster Entertainment. ATO plans a December release through its partnership with Samuel Goldwyn FIlms.
The film is set to premiere in Toronto on Sept. 16. It was originally supposed to be released through upstart Metropolitan.
"Casino Jack" stars Kevin Spacey as disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
“('Casino Jack' is not only one of the most refreshing and entertaining films we’ve seen in a long time, but, it also fits in perfectly with our strategy of releasing high quality, engaging stories that appeal to mainstream audiences," said ATO co-founders Johnathan Dorfman and Temple Fennell in a statement.
