Atlas Music Publishing CEO Richard Stumpf left the company in January, TheWrap has learned. The exit came after the company was sold to Ithaca Holdings in 2019, at which point Stumpf and Ithaca agreed he would stay on as CEO until 2021.
Stumpf has been replaced by Atlas COO and partner Phil Cialdella, who is serving as interim CEO.
Founded by Stumpf in 2013 with funding from Aronson Media Ventures, Goldman Sachs and advisors Sword, Rowe & Company, Atlas boasts a songwriter stable that includes hip hop producer Dan the Automator (Lovage, Gorillaz, Del the Funky Homosapien).
In 2020, Stumpf quietly incorporated a new company, Hawkeye Music Group LLC.
