On the 10-episode first season, Sedaris’ new series will show off her “diverse but necessary homemaking skills,” per the Turner cable channel.
These skills range from creating popsicle stick buddies and gutting a fish to making raisin necklaces and entertaining businessmen, the description continues. Each episode will revolve around a traditional theme, such as: entertaining the grieving, the craft of love making and cooking without pots and pans. As always, Amy will use her unique expertise to entertain guests, demonstrate her know-how by preparing meals, and exhibit her can-do spirit by attempting to work out personal issues.
“Remember, if you want to be the perfect host, accentuate the positives, and medicate the negatives,” it concludes.
“At Home” will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 p.m., the cable channel announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association press tour, where truTV also first shared the sneak peek.
Also guesting this season will be Scott Adsit, Rachel Dratch, Cole Escola, Jane Krakowski, Heather Lawless, David Pasquesi and Sasheer Zamata.
“At Home With Amy Sedaris” was co-created by Sedaris and Paul Dinello.
