Ariel Winter has once again courted criticism after posting a revealing photo of herself — and this time she’s been accused of trivializing the importance of Memorial Day, after posting a photo of herself in a bikini on the holiday.
Winter took to Instagram on Monday to post a photo of herself in a white two-piece, with the message “Happy #Memorial Day.”
But many commenters in the post were anything but happy about the actress’ fleshy display, on a day meant to honor military members who died while serving their country.
“Respect the memorial day,” cautioned one commenter, who punctuated the comment with an eye-rolling emoji.
“bc nothing says happy Memorial Day like sneak peak at her pubes,” offered another.
“Nothing happy about Memorial Day,” wrote another.
“I dont really get the connection between the day and this pic, but u look very nice indeed :),” pondered another commenter.

“Are you serious?” asked yet another. “Post whatever pics you want but this particular one does not jive with what memorial day is about.”
“Tits.. As always.. This has NOTHING to do with Memorial Day!!!” tsk-tsked another detractor.
“Trying way to [sic] hard girl. This has NOTHING to do with Memorial Day!” wrote another.
“What has you in a bikini got to do with remembering those who forgot? #Tasteless,” went another criticism.
This isn’t the first time that Winter has faced criticism over her wardrobe choices. Earlier this month, after getting slammed for wearing a glamorous dress to a “Modern Family” screening, Winter took to Instagram to fire back at her detractors, writing, “Why TF does anyone care that I didn’t dress casual like everyone else for the panel? Why do I have to be like everyone else?”
