Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will finally tie the knot in southern France in the next couple of days.
Or possibly not. It depends on who's talking.
The media was abuzz Friday over reports that Pitt and Jolie will — OK, maybe, might — get married at their French home, Chateau Miraval, over the weekend.
Noted bastion of accuracy the Sun got the ball rolling, reporting that the couple is planning a party for Pitt's parents, Jane and Bill, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Which seems like a separate thing than a wedding, but no matter — the Sun wasn't about to let that get in the way of good speculation.
"The bash is said to be for Jane and Bill’s 50th wedding anniversary — but locals think otherwise and claim there is a 'real buzz, there," the paper reports. "A source said: 'Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now. They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweler is here.'"

That was enough to put celebrity blogger Perez Hilton into hyperventilation mode.
"Someone pop the champagne!" Hilton wrote. "Cuz there's a *BIG* party goin' down at Chateau Miraval this weekend! And everyone thinks it's the secret wedding of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt!!"
Well, not everybody. According to Reuters, the local newspaper where the alleged nuptials will take place is denying that the wedding will take place. Moreover, under French law, Brangelina would have to be married in the town hall — not at their home, as the Sun suggests. And a Reuters reporter on the scene noted that "[N]o frantic preparations were visible." (No word on whether calm preparations were taking place.)
So are Brad and Angelina, who got engaged in April, exchanging vows this weekend? Judging from the reports so far, the definitive answer is … who knows?
More importantly, who cares? It's not like you were invited, anyway.
