ArcLight Culver City Opening Just in Time for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’

The newly converted theater will replace the former Pacific Theatres

ArcLight Cinemas will expand its Los Angeles presence with the addition of ArcLight Culver City, which opens to the public on May 1, just in time for Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

The newly converted theater will replace the former Pacific Theatres, elevating the 12-screen cinema for the thriving community of downtown Culver City, and featuring the signature experience and amenities ArcLight devotees know and love, including reserved seating.

For more than a decade, ArcLight Cinemas has revolutionized the moviegoing experience by creating a hassle and disruption-free environment that shows films the way filmmakers intended for them to be seen.

Now, with the addition of ArcLight Culver City, film lovers on the Westside can indulge in the uninterrupted movie experience they have come to expect from ArcLight Cinemas. The addition of an ArcLight theater in Culver City will complement the established entertainment and culinary community of the area, and provide a place for film aficionados to meet, discuss and celebrate film.

“Culver City is home to a bustling community that combines new, trendy restaurants and nightlife with a deep rooted history in the entertainment industry,” said Gretchen McCourt, executive VP of cinema programming. “We had long been searching for the perfect destination to bring ArcLight Cinemas to the Westside, and Culver City, with its rich history and appreciation for the arts, gives us just that.”

ArcLight Culver City will offer the popular ArcLight Membership, which includes benefits such as one dollar off admission and two free tickets to “ArcLight Presents,” a curated program of archival, digital and first-run films valued at $28 each, and members can accumulate points to be redeemed at the café, concessions, retail shop and for movie tickets.

ArcLight Cinemas will be opening theaters in Santa Monica and Chicago later this year.
