If you don't know who the Archers of Loaf are, Jimmy Fallon is excited to clue you in.
"Our next guests are back together and touring for the first time in 13 years," the "Late Night" host all but screamed Friday, referring to the influential, yet still sadly obscure, North Carolina indie-rock band that has thrilled its not miniscule legion of rabid fans by unexpectedly reuniting. "Please welcome Archers of Loaf!"
The group, which broke up in 1998, performed its first single, "Wrong," for the television audience of "Fallon." But studio guests were also treated to the Archers of Loaf's seminal track "Harnessed in Slums," the centerpiece of the group's critically acclaimed 1995 album "Vee Vee," and I figured it was my duty to provide that clip for you below. As frontman Eric Bachmann says in "Wrong," it's the least I could do.
