Marvel began principal photography on “Ant-Man” on Monday, and released the first image from the film on Tuesday.
The picture (below) shows star Paul Rudd as superhero alter ego Scott Lang hanging out near a van down by the bay underneath San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

Michael Douglas co-stars in the July 17 release as Lang’s mentor and original Ant-Man, Dr. Hank Pym.
The movie will follow the Rudd’s con-man character embracing his heroic side to help Dr. Pym protect the secret behind his Ant-Man suit, which gives the man inside the ability to shrink in size, but increase strength.
Director Peyton Reed replaced Edgar Wright, who exited the project in May due to creative differences with the Disney-owned studio.
