Looks like Anne Hathaway will be all ears when Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" hits theaters in July.
Images of the actress filming the upcoming movie over the weekend have surfaced on the internet, revealing that Hathaway's skintight black catsuit will be accentuated by perky, pointy cat ears reminiscent of those worn by Lee Meriwether, Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt in the campy Batman TV show.
A previously released image of Hathaway in character and riding a motorcycle didn't feature the ears, instead showing Hathaway in goggles with her hair flowing freely.
Naturally. the new images have already sparked debate among internet-dwelling Batman fans, with one commenter at the Huffington Post opining, "I'm sure Anne is a very nice young woman but I just can't see her as Catwoman. I tend to think of Catwoman as an edgy anti-heroine and Anne doesn't fit the bill, IMO. Everytime I see her in costume I keep thinking whoever did the casting made a major mistake. Sorry, Anne."
