Christmas came early this year, with Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader decking the halls in the first trailer for the holiday comedy “Noelle,” which will be available Nov. 12 on Disney+.
Kendrick and Hader star in the film as Santa Claus’ kids. But when the pressure of becoming the next Santa becomes all too much for Hader’s character Nick and he runs off, his younger sister Noelle must step up, search the globe for her brother and work to save the Christmas season.

Kingsley Ben-Adir, Billy Eichner, Julie Hagerty and Shirley MacLaine also star in the festive film that’s directed and written by Marc Lawrence, best known as the screenwriter of “Miss Congeniality.”
“Noelle” was completed and initially slated for a theatrical release in November of this year, but it was pulled from the release schedule last year and moved to the new streaming platform Disney+. It will now be one of the many original titles, both film and series, that the Mouse House is debuting on the first day of the platform’s launch on Nov. 12.
Disney is also debuting several other trailers and new projects at their annual D23 conference taking place in Anaheim this weekend.
