Joe Wright, the Golden Globe-nominated director of "Atonement" and the upcoming "Anna Karenina," will make his stage-directing debut at London's Donmar Warehouse with Arthur Wing Pinero's "Trelawny of the Wells."
The 1898-period comedy revolves around an actress who tries to give up the stage to marry but has a hard time adjusting to life outside the theater. The production will run Feb. 15 to April 13, 2013, at the Donmar in Covent Garden.

The Donmar season, announced Monday, also will include an all-female production of Julius Caesar, staged by Phyllida Lloyd, director of last year's Margaret Thatcher biopic "The Iron Lady," as well as the stage and film versions of the musical "Mamma Mia!" Donmar Artistic Director Josie Rourke will stage a revival of Conor McPherson's "The Weir" in the season's final production in April.
Though this will be Wright's first stage-directing job, he grew up around theater: His parents founded the Little Angel Theatre, a puppet theater in Islington area of London.
In addition to "Atonement," Wright's films include 2007's "Pride and Prejudice," with Keira Knightley; 2009's "The Soloist," with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr., and the upcoming "Anna Karenina," which reunites Wright with star Knightley.
