If a picture is worth 1,000 words, it is fair to presume that a movie poster carries an even greater count. Though in the case of Angelina Jolie‘s for the upcoming Disney film “Maleficent,” there’s not much more to be said other than what is clear from the image.
In the shoulders-up poster, which is light on negative space, Jolie, in full black garb with a horned headdress is glaring back at the viewer, intentions unknown — but unlikely pleasant.

In the summer 2014 film, Jolie plays the title villainous character from the “Sleeping Beauty” fairytale. The re-imagined story is told from the perspective of Maleficent and explains the events that hardened a pure heart and drove her to curse Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning).
The 135-minute film is slated for release May 30, 2014.
