CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has been near the top of the list of likely heirs to Oprah's syndicated daytime talk-show throne, so it's no surprise to learn that he's tapped a senior vet of Winfrey's just-shuttered program to be an executive producer on his eponymous new syndicated show.
Lisa Morin has spent the past 15 years at "The Oprah Winfrey Show," most recently serving as senior supervising producer. She came to Harpo from "The Jenny Jones Show," where she worked from 1993-96.
"Lisa is a remarkable talent and I am so happy that she is joining our team," said the slate-eyed Cooper in a release from Telepictures Productions. "We want to create a really interesting, entertaining, and informative daytime program and Lisa has a terrific vision for the program and the experience needed to make it a reality. I am so excited to start working with her."
"Anderson" debuts in syndication Monday, September 12.
