‘American Horror Story’ Season 8 Will Be One Long ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven’ Crossover

Ryan Murphy teases September start

If you were expecting the “American Horror Story” “Coven” and “Murder House” crossover to happen next year, then it’s time to get excited.

The anticipated crossover season will arrive on FX this September, Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter Thursday.

“The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER,” he said.

The crossover is a long time coming, as Murphy first revealed his plans to unite characters from both the “Coven” and the “Murder House” seasons two years ago.

“We do know what we’re going to do,” Murphy said at an Entertainment Weekly event back in 2016. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven’ together, which is very bizarre.”

Now, the wait is finally over, with cast alums Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates leading Season 8. Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman will also return this season.
