The already sizable cast of “American Horror Story: Coven” has added another body to the pile.
James DuMont, known for his work on HBO’s “Treme,” has been cast in a recurring role on Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s FX creepfest, an individual with knowledge of the casting told TheWrap.

“American Horror Story: Coven,” the third iteration of the “American Horror Story” anthology series, premieres Oct. 9.
DuMont will play a doctor on the series. Details on how many episodes DuMont will appear in were not available.
The actor currently appears on the big screen in “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.”

“American Horror Story: Coven,” which stars returning cast members such as Evan Peters and Jessica Lange as well as newcomers including Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Gabourey Sidibe, centers around a boarding school of sorts for witches in New Orleans, where they’re taught how to survive against those who would have them destroyed.
Following a screening of the premiere episode on Thursday, Murphy revealed that writing for episode nine or 10 of the season.
