The God Squad is back.
“American Gods” is returning next year, Starz announced on Twitter Monday, sharing a video of cast and crew beginning production for Season 2.
“‘American Gods’ is coming back for a new season, and we have just started production,” author Neil Gaiman said in the video, straight from the House on the Rock. “Things are gonna get darker, things are gonna get more dangerous.”
Gaiman also tweeted a photo of the cast.
“Me? What am I doing? Oh, just hanging out with gods and mortals at the House on the Rock,” he said. “Why, yes, that is the Biggest Carousel in the World. Nothing special. (YES, IT WAS AMAZING. YES, IT WAS AS AMAZING AS YOU WOULD THINK.)”
In February, Starz announced that “Lost” producer Jesse Alexander is Season 2’s new showrunner, replacing Bryan Fuller and Michael Green. Starz chief Chris Albrecht said previously they were “having some trouble getting the second season underway. It’s an incredibly difficult adaptation of a fantastic novel.”
