AMC is taking Horace Greeley's advice and going west with its upcoming series "Hell on Wheels."
Set to go into production on May 16, the series — which is slated to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2011 — stars Anson Mount ("Straw Dogs") as a former confederate soldier "whose quest for vengeance has led him to the Union Pacific Railroad's western construction of the first Transcontinental Railroad."
