Amazon Studios has named Nick Hall Head of Development, Half Hour TV Series.
Hall will report to Joe Lewis, the studio’s Head of Half Hour TV Series. Hall comes to Amazon Studios from HBO, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President, Comedy.
During his time at the network, Hall developed series including “Looking,” “The Comeback,” “Enlightened,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “How to Make It in America,” “Project Greenlight” and Judd Apatow‘s upcoming series “Crashing.”
Prior to joining HBO in 2008, Hall served as Manager of Comedy Development at Warner Bros. TV.
Among the projects Hall will oversee will include those that result from Amazon Studios’ recently signed two-year first look deal with Paul and Chris Weitz‘s Depth of Field production company.
