Gwen Stacy is one tough cookie.
That's the takeaway from the latest footage from Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man," which shows the wall-crawler's main squeeze valiantly keeping some sort of science experiment from the scaly clutches of the Lizard.

Emma Stone, who plays Stacy in the upcoming superhero film, debuted the footage Wednesday night on "The Tonight Show." Stay tuned through the often painful Jay Leno banter for the explosive look at Gwen's heroics.
Sony also released another clip of Spider-Man gamely avoiding Manhattan girdlock.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" hits theaters on July 3 and stars Andrew Garfield as Spidey and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard. Marc Webb ("500 Days of Summer") directs.
