Alvin and the Chipmunks are back and facing big changes in a new trailer for the fourth installment in the film series.
In the trailer, released by 20th Century Fox, the chipmunks come to believe that their best friend Dave (Jason Lee) will propose to his girlfriend in New York City and leave them behind. Alvin, Simon and Theodore have three days to go on an epic road trip, joined by their potential step-brother Miles (Josh Green) and stop the proposal.
Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney voice the three chipmunks, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, respectively.
Tony Hale, Kimberly Williamss-Paisley, Bella Thorne, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate also star.
“The Road Chip” is directed by Walt Becker and Adam Sztkiel wrote the screenplay. Janice Karman and Ross Bagdasarian produced.
“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” opens in theaters on Dec. 23.
