Alec Baldwin has admitted to using a homophobic slur — just not the one he was accused of using.
The former “30 Rock” star turned to his old friend Twitter to clarify details of his run-in with a photographer on Thursday. He said he would stop using the word “c—sucker” on the advice of GLAAD.

“Rich Ferraro from @glaad informs me that c’sucker is an anti-gay epithet. In which case I apologize and will retire it from my vocabulary,” Baldwin wrote Thursday night.
Baldwin came under fire on Thursday after TMZ posted video of the actor in which he seemed to call a paparazzo a “c—sucking f-g.” The “30 Rock” star subsequently took to Twitter to clarify that he’d called the photographer a “fathead.”

“Anti-gay slurs are wrong. They not only offend, but threaten hard fought tolerance of LGBT rights,” Baldwin added.
The explanation failed to satisfy gay CNN newsman Anderson Cooper, who accusing Baldwin of lying and making “ridiculous” excuses.

“Wow, Alec Baldwin shows his true colors yet again,” Cooper wrote early Friday. “How is he going to lie and excuse his anti-gay slurs this time?”
Cooper later added, “Just read Alec Baldwin‘s latest excuses. They are actually so ridiculous they are funny.”
In June, Baldwin issued an apology to GLAAD after calling Daily Mail reporter George Stark a “queen” and threatening to beat him. Stark had accused Baldwin’s wife Hilaria of tweeting during the funeral service for “Sopranos” actor James Gandolfini.
