Former vice president Al Gore compared Donald Trump’s administration to the bloodiest scene in “Game of Thrones” after seeing all the cuts the president has made to his staff in recent months.

“Last week, somebody said it was like the ‘Red Wedding’ in ‘Game of Thrones,’ with people coming and going and I’m going to fire everybody,” Gore told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. “It was really wild.”

As a reminder, the “Red Wedding” saw a massacre at the wedding feast of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey. Amid the gore fest, Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, Robb’s wife, Talisa (who was pregnant) and most of Robb’s soldiers were brutally killed as revenge for Robb breaking of a marriage pact he made with House Frey.

In his apt analysis of the current administration, Gore added that Trump seemed to be “isolating himself from the rest of the country.”

“It’s deeply troubling and for me, and the most troubling part of it is that it serves as a set of constant distractions from the problems we should be addressing,” he added. “Nothing is getting done.”
