Watch Filipino Singer Marcelito Pomoy Perform a Duet – by Himself – for ‘AGT: The Champions’ Semifinals (Video)

“Pilipinas Got Talent” winner belts out “Con Te Partirò” using two completely different voices

If you haven’t yet seen the dual vocal stylings of Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy, boy, are you in for a treat via a clip from Monday’s “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” semifinals, which features the “Pilipinas Got Talent” winner belting out a song using two completely different voices.

Yes, he essential performs Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partirò” (“Time to Say Goodbye”) as a duet, alternating between a deep, male-like vocal range and a much higher, feminine pitch — both amazing.

Watch the video above, which showcases Pomoy’s stunning voice(s).

Once he’d finished, judge Howie Mandell said he believes Marcelito has “the best shot of winning this whole thing.”

“This is the semifinals, you raised your game,” he continued. “The woman in you was just as good as she was the last time, but you as the man, you went up a notch and she tried to stay up with you, but she couldn’t.”

Fellow panelists Heidi Klum and Alesha Dixon also praised Pomoy, with Klum calling him her “favorite” contestant and Dixon proclaiming she “loves everything” about him.

However, Simon Cowell was just a little bit harsh on the singer — of course — telling him “if you make the final, I think you’ve got to take a bigger risk” because the “surprise is now over” with his dual voices. Welp, Pomoy did make the finals, so stay tuned to see if he ups his game even more next Monday at 8/7c on NBC.
