Miniseries will debut near end of the year

A&E announced it will start production next month on "Stephen King’s Bag of Bones," a four-hour mini-series marking Pierce Brosnan’s return to television that will air in the fall or winter.

It will also star Anabeth Gish, with more in the cast to be announced soon. It will shoot in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Mick Garris will direct Matt Venne's script for Sony PIctures Television.

Brosnan plays bestselling novelist Mike Noonan, who can't stop grieving after the sudden death of his wife. A dream inspires him to go to the couple's retreat in western Maine where he becomes involved in a custody battle and receives ghostly visitations.
