“Adolescence” is continuing to make waves on Netflix, becoming the streamer’s most-watched limited series in its first two weeks.
The series, which first premiered on March 13, has garnered 66.3 million views since its launch, making it both the most-watched limited series and most-watched U.K. title ever through its first two weeks. After debuting to 24.3 million views in its first week on the streamer, the audience grew for “Adolescence” to a whopping 42 million views during the week of March 17, maintaining its spot atop the Netflix top 10 TV list.
Viewership for “Adolescence” by far outpaced the No. 2 most-watched show of the week, “The Residence,” which debuted to 6.4 million views in its first week on the streamer. “Running Point” stayed on the top 10 list after first launching on Feb. 27, this week landing at the No. 4 spot on TV list with 3.5 million views.
The later part of the TV list list saw “Wolf King” take the No. 6 spot with 2.9 million views, while “Temptation Island” took the No. 7 spot with 2.7 million views and Bert Kreischer’s new stand-up special, “Lucky,” came in ninth place with 2.6 million views.
On the film side, Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown-led “The Electric State” maintained its title as the as the most-watched film of the week, this time scoring 22.5 million views, down slightly from last week’s 25.2 million views. Documentary “The Twister: Caught in the Storm” took the No. 2 spot on the most-watched films list with 17 million views while “Plankton: The Movie” scored 5.5 million views, coming in at the No. 6 spot.
“Back in Action,” which stars Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, also notably climbed another spot on the all-time most popular films list to become Netflix’s No. 7 most-watched English film to date.
