Adele may have suffered through some sound issues during the Grammys on Monday night, but the British singer took the whole fiasco in stride.
“The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens,” she wrote on Twitter. “Because of it though… I’m treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it.”
Fast food aside, music fans were none too pleased with some shoddy sound work throughout the annual award show, during which Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for “1989” and Mark Ronson won Record of the Year for “Uptown Funk.”
Several other performances throughout the night, like that of Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood, appeared to be plagued by audio issues.
People on social media were immediately annoyed. “And the Grammy for the worst sound quality in a live Grammys broadcast goes to…” tweeted one user.
“Who is mixing the audio at the Grammys? Kinda got the vocals low on two performances so far,” said another.
