It’s time to name Adele captain of the Beyhive fan club.
Like so many of us, Adele partook in “Couchella” over the weekend by live-streaming the desert music festival Coachella, and her reaction to Beyoncé’s history-making set is honestly inspiring. The singer even brought out a trombone to match Beyoncé’s aesthetic.
On Sunday, Adele posted a series of short Instagram vids showing off her Bey-inspired dance moves with the simple captions “Mood 1, 2 and 3” with the hashtag #beychella.
Adele has long been a Beyoncé fan: she dedicated her 2017 Grammy Award to the mega-star after her album “25” beat out “Lemonade.”
“Tonight, winning this feels full circle, and like a bit of me has come back to myself, but I can’t possibly accept this award. And I’m very humble and I’m very grateful and I’m very gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé and the ‘Lemonade’ album is just so monumental,” she said when accepting her award last year.
“It was so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul bearing,” the British musician continued. “And we all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that. All us artists here adore you, you are our light and the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel, is empowering. You make them stand up for themselves, and I love you, I always have, and I always will.”
