ABC has objected to the Weinstein Co.'s commercial for its "Our Idiot Brother," and refused to air it.
In response, the Weinstein Company cut an even nastier "red band ad" that's not suitable for any broadcast outlet.
ABC told the Weinstein Co.:
"Please remove the visual of the exchange of what is assumed to be drugs," "Please remove the visual of the character using the juice box to depict urination" and "Please remove the references to getting high and smoking."
This from the network that airs "Cougar Town."

The ad airs on other networks.
In a written statement, Weinstein Co. co-chairman Harvey Weinstein said, "We'd like to dedicate our new red band trailer for 'Our Idiot Brother' to censorship everywhere. Enjoy!"
Here's what ABC has to say about the brouhaha: "The ABC Television Network approved and accepted multiple spots for “Our Idiot Brother,” and has aired spots for this film. The network did not accept spots that violated our long-established Ad Guidelines."
The movie, directed by Jesse Peretz, stars Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, Steve Coogan, Hugh Dancy, Kathryn Hahn, Rashida Jones, Shirley Knight, T.J. Miller and Adam Scott.
It opens Friday.
