Fans of ABC's drama "Brothers & Sisters" might want to prepare their goodbyes to the show in advance, because it sounds like it's departure might come even sooner than expected.
A source with knowledge of the production says that the network is considering the possibility of offering a shortened final season of the series, which has not yet been picked up for another season.
It's not yet known how long — or, rather, short — the abbreviated season would be.
The series — which wraps its fifth and current season on May 8 — has had an uncertain future of late. Recently, series star Rachel Griffiths reportedly cracked wise about the show's grim prospects at Australia's Logie Awards, telling the host, "I'm soon to be unemployed so I checked in with [Australia's unemployment department] Centrelink … and said, 'Looks like I'm out of a job and wanna sign up."
