ABC Gives Full-Season Orders for ‘Once Upon a Time,’ 2 Comedies

Network also orders five more scripts for Sunday-night drama “Pan Am”

ABC confirmed Thursday that it has placed full-season orders for fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time" and comedies "Last Man Standing" and "Happy Endings."

The network also said that it has ordered five more scripts for Sunday night drama "Pan Am."

The fairytale-themed "Once Upon a Time" had the best premiere for a new hourlong of the season on October 23.

Competing against both the World Series and "Sunday Night Football" at 8 p.m., the new show at posted a 3.9 rating/10 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, with 12.8 million total viewers.

Leading out of comedy hit "Modern Family" at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, meanwhile, young-adult-themed comedy "Happy Endings" has streadily grown its audience.

On October 26, for example, the series posted a 17 percent increase with a 3.5/9 in the adult demo and 8.3 million total viewers.

The back-nine order for Tim Allen comedy "Last Man Standing" is a little more unexplainable, given the series steady ratings drops on Tuesday nights.

This week, the series posted a 2.6/8 in the key demo, down 10 percent from last week and the show's lowest performance yet.

ABC has now posted full-season orders for five of its new series, with comedy "Suburgatory" and 10 o'clock drama "Revenge" getting back-nined earlier.
