“The Fosters” family just got a whole lot bigger.
ABC Family will be producing a five-part web series about the girls’ group home, which is central to the show’s current storyline for guest star Rosie O’Donnell.
Titled “The Fosters: Girls United,” the standalone web series will post three-to-five-minute long episodes on ABC Family’s YouTube channel starting Monday, Feb. 3 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT after the next new episode of “The Fosters.”

The webisodes follow the residents of the Girls United group home: When one of the girls goes missing, the others form their own theories about her disappearance and learn a valuable lesson about supporting each other as they all strive to improve their lot in life.
Although O’Donnell doesn’t appear on the web series, “The Fosters” star Maia Mitchell will. She’ll star alongside Daffany Clark as Daphne, Cherinda Kincherlow as Kiara, Annamarie Kenoyer as Becka, Alicia Sixtos as Carmen, Hayley Kiyoko as Gabi and Angela Gibbs as Girls United counselor Michelle Walters.

Additionally on Monday, Feb. 10 from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET, Kiyoko and “The Fosters” Executive Producer Joanna Johnson will participate in a live Twitter discussion about the webisodes and answer fan questions. Fans can tweet their comments and questions directly to @HayleyKiyoko and @JoannaJohnson31 with the hashtag #GirlsUnited.
“The Fosters” airs Mondays at 9/8c on ABC Family.
