Aaron Tveit has been cast in CBS’ upcoming comic thriller series “BrainDead.”
The actor will play Gareth, legislative director to a top Republican senator.
Set in the world of Washington, D.C. politics, “BrainDead” is executive produced by “The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King.
Tveit most recently starred on USA’s “Graceland,” which was canceled earlier this month. He also was featured in a recurring role on the CW’s “Gossip Girl.” His film credits include “Les Misérables,” and his Broadway credits include “Catch Me if You Can.”
Mary Elizabeth Winstead is set to star alongside Tveit.
“We’re thrilled that Aaron will be joining ‘BrainDead,’” Robert and Michelle King said in a statement. “We’re huge fans of his work — he’s spectacular on stage and screen — and think he’ll be a fantastic opponent-slash-love-interest for Mary Elizabeth Winstead.”
“BrainDead” is set to premier on CBS in summer 2016.
