The latest preview of John Krasinksi’s horror sequel “A Quiet Place: Part II” — a 30-second Super Bowl spot released Friday — finds Emily Blunt and her family hiding out and seeking refuge with a new group of survivors after the terrifying events of the first film.
Blunt stars along with Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as well as new cast members Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
There’s also a brief (flashback?) appearance by Krasinski, who wrote and directed “A Quiet Place Part II,” based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck. The new film was executive produced by Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano and Aaron Janus, and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Krasinski.
Paramount also released a behind-the-scenes featurette (below) with Krasinski and the cast previewing the challenges facing the family in the film’s alien-filled world.
The original “A Quiet Place” starred Krasinski, Blunt, Jupe and Simmonds and grossed just over $340 million at the global box office. The film was about a family that has to live in complete silence to evade alien creatures hunting them.
“A Quiet Place: Part II” opens in theaters March, 20, 2020. Watch the Super Bowl spot for the film above.
