Next year in Morocco?
The industry’s A-list likely shamed your Thanksgiving travel itinerary by breaking bread in Africa. Charity cause? Nope.
Instead, stars hit the grand reopening party for a luxury hotel, La Mamounia in Marrakech, on Thanksgiving. Salma Hayek, Jennifer Aniston (at right) and Adrien Brody rounded out the list of attending talent that most producers hope to seat at their Thanksgiving tables in the future.
Closer to home, comics Dane Cook, Arsenio Hall and Paul Rodriguez helped Hollywood’s Laugh Factory carry on its tradition of dishing out free meals on the holidays. (At left, Cook and Hall flank Laugh Factory founder Jamie Masada on Thanksgiving Day.)
Even the holiday couldn’t keep Cook away from a stage he practically owns. Cook holds the house record for a seven-hour comedy set that propelled him past previous Laugh Factory kings Dave Chappelle and Richard Pryor.
The party circuit revs back this week with a slew of “end of year” premieres for award-bait films. Monday night brings George Clooney, Jason Bateman and director Jason Reitman‘s “Up in the Air” to Westwood. (At right, Clooney made a promotional pun on the film’s title at the Rome premiere last month.)
Paramount’s premiere marks the first event to step into the footprints left behind by “Twilight’s” tidal wave that crashed over Westwood two weeks ago.
