“RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 17 hasn’t even aired all of its episodes yet, but the Top 6 queens are already getting to experience what life is like as a RuGirl.
Jewels Sparkles, Lana Ja’Rae, Lexi Love, Onya Nurve, Sam Star and Suzie Toot were part of the “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” 1,000th show celebration over the weekend, where they walked the red carpet before getting to enjoy the Flamingo Showroom performance as VIPs.
Saturday’s special featured “RPDR” icons Jaida Essence Hall, Plane Jane, Morphine Love Dion, Asia O’Hara and Ginger Minj as host, plus a surprise cameo from RuPaul himself — but who from their MTV cast do the Season 17 girls think should join the Sin City line-up?
“I think me, I think it’s definitely me,” Jewels said with a sparkle in her eye. “I think Lana would be a fierce addition to the cast.”
“Hands down Lana Ja’Rae or Lexi Love,” Onya answered, while Suzie agreed, saying, “I can just see Lana Ja’Rae. Stunning, sparkling, splits. She is a performer who deserves to be on a Vegas stage.”
“I do want to be part of the show so bad,” Lana gushed. “I would love to see Lucky Starzzz. I think her drag would be really great in Vegas.”
“I think Suzie Toot would be the best addition. I do. She could bring something unique and different,” said Lexi, believe it or not, before addressing co-directors RuPaul and Jamal Sims directly. “I would like to take this time to say: pick me please, pick me please, pick me please, pick me please, I’m so happy for you, but pick me please.”
And, naturally, Sam gave the most pageant-ready answer of the bunch: “A good performing girl — so Lexi, Crystal, Jewels, Onya. Any of the girls, really.”
“RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” regularly changes up its cast, so only time will tell which of the Season 17 stars get to follow in their fellow former contestants’ footsteps. But until then, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV. Plus, the “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” 1,000th Show special is available to stream on WOW Presents Plus.
