Surprisingly, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ “Sherry” isn’t on there

Everybody hurts — except for Nathan Caine. And yes, the soundtrack for “Novocaine” has a lot of fun with that fact.

Now in theaters, “Novocaine” follows Nathan (Jack Quaid), an assistant bank manager who has a genetic condition making it so that he is incapable of feeling physical pain. While that may sound like a superhero, it actually comes with significant risks, so he’s basically lived his life in a bubble.

That is, until Sherry (Amber Midthunder) comes along. He quickly falls for her, and when she’s taken hostage during a bank robbery, Nathan sets off on a mission to find her, no matter what pain he may endure along the way (and there is a lot).

You’ll definitely recognize some of the songs that accompany that journey, too.

Here are all the songs on the “Novocaine” soundtrack:

  • “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M.
  • “Silver Bells” by Andy Williams
  • “Casual” by Chappell Roan
  • “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings” by Caroline Polachek
  • “This Is Gonna Hurt” by Dirty Nice
  • “Mist of a Dream” by Birdlegs & Pauline
  • “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness
  • “You’re the Inspiration” by Chicago
  • “Power Lines” by Telekinesis

“Novocaine” is in theaters now.
