‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Final Season Trailer: Turns Out Promoting a Children’s Book Is Hard (Video)

Final chapter of Ellie Kemper-led series launches Jan. 25 on Netflix

The trailer for the final six episodes of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” dropped Wednesday, giving fans a preview of what’s in store for them when the back-half of Season 4 launches next week.

And it looks like Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) is entering the world of publishing, after both writing and illustrating her own children’s book (“double threat!”), “The Legends of Greemulax,” based on her time in the bunker and her life since.

In the 1-minute, 47-second video, Kimmy’s story is starting to come to a close — and so are the stories of her friends — while they each figure out what they want. But now the question is, will they each get a happy ending, whatever that even means?

Here’s the official description for the final batch of episodes: Kimmy is as resilient as ever, but realizes that being an adult is about more than just putting the past behind her. It’s finally time for her to choose between helping her friends, Titus (Tituss Burgess), Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) and Lillian (Carol Kane), and helping someone she’s never put first before: herself.

Per Netflix, the upcoming installments include a double-sized “Sliding Doors” episode exploring how the main characters’ lives might have been different if Kimmy had never been kidnapped
