The American Music Awards are known for their live performances, and on Thursday, Dick Clark Productions announced three more.
5 Seconds of Summer, Mary J. Blige and Sam Smith are now set to join previously announced performer Charli XCX and host Pitbull at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Nov. 23. Additional performers and presenters will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Aussie band 5 Seconds of Summer (pictured above) and British singer Sam Smith are both nominated for best new artist at the fan-voted awards show, with the latter also in the hunt for Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock. Blige is up for Favorite Female Artist – Soul/R&B.

The full 2014 nominations were announced earlier this month, with Iggy Azalea’s six leading the pack. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams each have five noms; Lorde has four.
The AMAs are produced by the aforementioned Dick Clark Productions. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are executive producers; Larry Klein, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco are producers.
“The 2014 American Music Awards” will air live at 8 p.m. ET/delayed PT on ABC. The “Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ The 2014 AMAs” pre-show begins streaming at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on Yahoo Live, TheAMAs.com and ABC.com.
