The 77th Annual Emmy Awards will air Sept. 14 on CBS. The awards show from the Television Academy will be broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater and will run from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/5 to 8 p.m. PT.
The ceremony will be available to watch live on both CBS and Paramount+, but that latter option comes with a caveat: only Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to stream the awards show on Sept. 14 via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to watch live, however, all Paramount+ subscribers will be able to watch the Emmys the following day on demand.
Meanwhile, nominations will be announced by the Television Academy on July 15. That event will be streamed live starting at 8:30 a.m. PT on the Emmys’ website. The host for both the nominations and the awards show, as well as the producers for the 2025 Emmys, will be announced at a later date.
As for the Creative Arts Emmys, that ceremony will take place on Sept. 6 and Sept. 7. Both ceremonies will be telecast and produced by the Television Academy.
Known as the biggest night in television, the Emmys celebrate the very best in the medium. Last year, FX was the ceremony’s big winner largely thanks to “Shōgun” and “The Bear,” each of which won four major awards. The other big winner of the evening was Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer.”
Though it’s still early in the year, several past darlings will be eligible for this upcoming Emmys season. Twenty-one-time winner “The Bear” premiered Season 3 during the Emmys window as did “Squid Game” Season 2, which won six Emmys for its first season. Additionally, “The White Lotus,” which previously won 15 awards, and “Severance,” which won two awards, are currently airing new episodes. The eligibility window for the 77th Emmy Awards runs from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025.
