This Christmas, you get to unwrap a brand new “Yellowstone” spin-off.
On Thursday, it was announced that “1923,” the new spin-off featuring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will be debut Dec. 18 exclusively on Paramount+. According to the official synopsis, the new show from Taylor Sheridan “will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the Mountain West and the Duttons who call it home.”
The new series also stars Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer and Jerome Flynn and is part of Sheridan’s ever-expanding “Yellowstone” universe, following last year’s breakout hit “1883.” The eight episodes of “1923” airing this year will be followed by a second season, with potential spin-offs yet to come, including “6666,” a modern-day set “Yellowstone” spin-off about the fabled Texas ranch (which had been the partial setting of an earlier “Yellowstone” season).
“Yellowstone,” the most watched show on television, returns on Nov. 13 to the Paramount Network. And Sheridan’s portfolio will expand with non-“Yellowstone”-related “Tulsa King,” starring Sylvester Stallone, will premiere Nov. 13 on Paramount+.
