“1923” Season 2 has broken the viewership record for Paramount+’s biggest original premiere in the streaming platform’s history, bringing in a total of 5.4 million viewers.
The milestone is more than double the 2.2 million viewers who tuned into the “Yellowstone” prequel’s Season 1 premiere. It also surpasses the previous recordholder, “Landman,” which brought in 5.2 million viewers in its premiere.
Views on social for “1923” Season 2 increased 187% from the previous season to 1.6 million.
The drama series, which comes from Taylor Sheridan, stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren alongside an ensemble that includes Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.
In Season 2, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.
