There will be plenty of people cheering for the Falcons as they face off against the Patriots in the 51st Super Bowl this Sunday, but the team will be happy to know that they’ve got at least 12 fans with a little star power behind them.
Usher
Although he wasn’t born in Atlanta, Georgia, they way Usher stans for the Falcons he may as well have been. Here he is super hype on the sidelines with Ludacris.
Ludacris
Speaking of Ludacris, the Atlanta native doesn’t just ride hard for his team he even performed at the halftime show when the Falcons played the Seahawks.
Samuel L. Jackson
The legendary actor has been a fan of the Falcons since his time at Morehouse College.
He even gave a little tip to his team by tweeting out a sneaky play he’d seen Aaron Rodgers run during a warmup.
Jimmy Carter
Yes, the Falcons have a presidential fan on their side. And even though his team failed to advance to the Super Bowl in 2013, the former President was still “so proud.”
T.I.
T.I. is as Atlanta as it gets so it’s no wonder he’s a Falcons fan. He’s even dropped by as a special guest during their practice and signed autographs for fans while checking out his team.
According to ESPN, he said: “I’ll do anything I can to help the team,” when asked if he’d perform at a halftime show.
Cam Newton
Yes, that Cam Newton. Even though the charismatic, star quarterback plays for the Carolina Panthers, he’s said “I’ve always been a Falcons fan, and I’m still a Falcons fan except for those two times a year.”
2 Chainz
Fellow Atlanta native, 2 Chainz is a big Falcons fans having crashed Michael Crabtree’s post game interview by chanting “we won!”
The rapper even has a song called “Countin’” where he shouts out his home team.
“Bet a hundred thousand with the Falcons
Lost a hundred thousand with the Falcons”
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez
Although the two are no longer together, they were both spotted at a Falcons game back in 2011. Bieber’s mentor Usher is also a huge Falcons fan.
Big Boi
Outkast’s Big Boi, and yet another Atlanta native, goes hard for the Falcons even (jokingly we hope) calling his son a traitor for sporting a Seahawks jersey at a game.
Gucci Mane
Another Atlanta native staying true to his roots, rapper Gucci Mane is indeed a Falcons fan. He’s been spotted with his fiancee at a game, not in a fancy suite but rather hanging out with the rest of the fans.
Back in 2013, he even put a $100K bet that his team would beat the Saints.
Jeff Foxworthy
Comedian and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” host Jeff Foxworthy may not be a ride or die Falcons’ fan, but he still shows great love to his home team.
“I’ve got to root for the Falcons, because I grew up in Atlanta, but usually once we’re out of it, I switch over to the Packers,” he told the Green Bay Gazette.
Michael Kelly
Michael Kelly
It seems like Atlanta natives are loyal to their team, “House of Cards” star Michael Kelly has been a Falcons fan since the early 90’s according to USA Today.
