Tyler Ritter has joined the cast of “Young & Hungry” for Season 4, TheWrap has learned.
The actor, who previously starred on CBS’ “The McCarthys,” has joined the Freeform comedy’s recently announced upcoming season in a recurring guest role.
Ritter will play Adam, who is described as a handsome and funny man who is nursing a broken heart after being left at the altar. He and Gabi (Emily Osment) bond over their similar relationship problems and the fact that they are both budding entrepreneurs.
“Young & Hungry,” which also stars Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley and Rex Lee, recently became the first to be renewed by the network since it rebranded itself as Freeform in January.
“‘Young & Hungry’ is the first series we’ve renewed under the new Freeform banner. It remains a staple in our comedy diet. The show’s humor, quality and wonderful actors fit perfectly with our evolving brand,” Freeform EVP of Programming & Development Karey Burke said when the renewal was announced.
Ritter’s recent credits also include guest roles on “NCIS,” “Agents of SHIELD” and “Hot in Cleveland.” He is repped by UTA and Principal Entertainment.
He is the son of late ‘Three’s Company” star John Ritter and brother of “Joan of Arcadia” actor Jason Ritter.
