Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown are reunited in a new promotional photo from the upcoming Lifetime movie about their lives together.
Yaya DaCosta looks a great deal like the late singer she is playing and, now that she’s posing alongside her Belize-born co-star Arlen Escarpeta, the resemblance is even more haunting.
Escarpeta (“Into the Storm”) plays Bobby Brown, Houston’s oft-maligned husband of 15-years who was famous in his own right as a solo artist and a member of New Edition.

This is the second picture we’ve seen of DaCosta as Houston is as many weeks. The actress, who admitted to growing comfortable in front of the camera as a contestant on “America’s Top Model,” mimicked the cover pose of the Grammy-winning artist’s 1987 album “Whitney” on July 10.
Angela Bassett is directing the still untitled film, and it’s set to air in early 2015.

Bassett, who starred with Houston in “Waiting to Exhale,” found strikingly similar leads for the Lifetime biopic, but she’s not done casting “Whitney” yet.
The 55-year-old actress-turned-director posted a casting call for extras on her Twitter account Sunday night:
