Sure, it has epic battles, tricky politics, pertinent allegories, and rich and complicated characters, but everyone knows that the love triangle between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale is the real reason why “The Hunger Games” series is so darn popular.

Thankfully, that is a blatant lie, and even more thankfully, distributor Lionsgate is well aware of that. They’re marketing the hell out of “Mockingjay – Part 1,” but none of it looks like the rom-com spot that Jimmy Kimmel ran on his show on Tuesday night.
