If you ever doubted Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s action chops, the DVD release of his earthquake hit “San Andreas” should remove all doubt.
The blockbuster, about a catastrophic fault eruption that flattens the West Coast, features innumerable dicey rescues executed by the star.
Perhaps the most impressive among these comes when he maneuvers a helicopter through jagged rocks and propels 150 feet down the side of the mountain without breaking a sweat.
An exclusive clip from the “San Andreas” DVD and Blu-Ray, released on Tuesday, reveals director Brad Peyton and executive producer Rob Cowan didn’t insult Johnson with a green screen.
“We had wind and dust blowing around, it gives us this great real shot that wasn’t a special effect,” Peyton said.
The film generated a worldwide box office take of $470 million, and further solidified Johnson’s track record as movie storm.
