‘Veep’: Julia Louis-Dreyfus Gives Sad Tony Hale A Shave (Video)

The final season of the HBO comedy is currently in production

Selena Meyer is back and already fixing things — including her loyal assistant’s questionable facial hair.

In a video shared on Twitter by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the fictional president is giving a very sad looking Tony Hale a shave, who plays Gary Walsh on “Veep.”

“We’re getting rid of this. I mean, it doesn’t work. This is better,” Louis-Dreyfus said as Selena Meyer in a video she shared Wednesday. As she shaves Hale’s rather grown out mustache, he replies “yeah” despondently.

“We’re back. Fixing things,” Louis-Dreyfus captioned the video.

Last week, the “Seinfeld” alum shared a photo of herself with the rest of the cast of the HBO comedy as they settled in for a table read for the seventh and final season.

Louis-Dreyfus announced last September that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and has spent the past several months giving updates on her health status and sharing videos of support recorded for her by the cast and crew from the show. Production was postponed while she underwent chemotherapy treatment, and now she and the rest of the cast are back in the swing of things.

The seventh and final season of “Veep” will return to HBO in Spring 2019.
